Workshops
and Seminars
The culmination of a documentary
project by CDI, the events that confirm and reinforce
our mission, will be the public presentation of lectures
and seminars of the resulting photographs and narratives.
An exhibition will be planned upon completion of each
project with related seminars to educate the public
on important and relevant subjects.
The exhibition concept is important
to signify the value and importance of the project and
to educate and inform the public. The seminars, lectures
and exhibitions will be sought with an emphasis on achieving
an intergenerational audience of youth and adults that
will be acquired through publicity and local contact
at distinct geographical locations for well-rounded
exposure.
Subjects of interest to the local
community in photography/oral history based instruction
will be presented. The seminars utilize concepts found
in the documentary project and educate on both the subject
matter and teaches "how to do what we do"
so that the public can explore the preservation of traditional
ideas and beliefs that are important to the community,
neighborhood and family.
